FAQs

A: Printed maps and programs are available from the information booth at each event hub. You can also download the program here

A: Dogs are permitted along the event trail area with the exception of licenced areas, Omeo Park, Coogee Beach and Coogee Beach Reserve. Dogs must be on a lead at all times. https://www.cockburn.wa.gov.au/Health-and-Safety/Dogs-and-Cats/Dogs/Dog-exercise-areas

A: Vehicle parking is at Coogee Beach Reserve with additional parking available on Cockburn Road, just south of the entrance to the Coogee Beach Carpark. Vehicle parking is also available adjacent to Omeo Park at the end of Napoleon Parade.

Road closures are in effect on Socrates Pde between Madras Link and Napolean Pde.

Please respect our neighbours and don’t obstruct driveway access, park on verges or private property.

A: BikeWise Bike Valet Parking will be available near the Coogee Beach Tennis Courts and the LiveLighter Community Hub from 10am-9pm Saturday 7th March 2020 and 10am-6pm Sunday 8th March 2020. Balance Bike Sessions and free bike check and tunes will also be running.

BYO bike and leave it in the secure Bicycle Valet Parking area. Extra unmanned bike parking will be available at Omeo Park (bring your own lock).

A: Coogee Live is using event trail floor stickers and signage (that align with festival hub colouring) showing you the direction through the hubs as well as highlighting accessible footpaths and bike paths. You can walk or ride to move between them.

A: All activities and performances that are part of Coogee Live are completely FREE! Food and drink at each event hub, as well as arts and crafts from the Cockburn Makers Market and the Coogee Live Art Market will be available to purchase.

A: For some of the workshops and demonstrations you do need to register your place in advance – this is noted on the individual event pages with a large ‘Register Here For Workshop’ button.

The rest of the workshops are come-and-go style so you can walk in and join the workshop whenever you wish within the workshop hours.

A: No. Usual street drinking laws apply during Coogee Live and no BYO is allowed. There are licenced areas at  the LiveLighter Omeo Hub and the Nova Jetty Sessions where drinks can be purchased and consumed.

A: Eftpos is available at all licenced Coogee Live areas. Certain food vendors have access to eftpos and some are cash only. There is an ATM located at Port Coogee Village Shopping Centre (Orsino Boulevard) during trading hours (8am – 5pm Saturday, 11am – 5pm Sunday).

A: As a free event, open to the public, all entertainment at Coogee Live is suitable for all ages.

A: Yes, water stations are available at the Coogee Beach Hub and the Port Coogee Hub.

A: All Coogee Live hubs are wheelchair accessible except for sanded areas. A beach wheelchair is available for use– please contact the City of Cockburn prior to the event to arrange 9411 3444 or email events@cockburn.wa.gov.au.

Acrod parking is available at each event hub.

A: An information booth is located at each event hub and festival staff and volunteers will be roaming the event in blue Coogee Live t-shirts – they will help you out with any questions you have.

A: Socrates Parade access closed between Napoleon Parade and Madras Link From 7am Friday 6th March through to 7pm on Monday 9th March  Coogee Beach Jetty will be closed to public access over the weekend of 7th and 8th March. The City of Cockburn apologises for any inconvenience that this event may cause.
