Wishing Upon A Crane ✨  A highlight installation of Coogee Live 2020, Coogee Take Flights by Melanie Gray of 22 Folds, makes a triumphant return, soaring higher than before re-imagined and installed at Cockburn Integrated Health!

Made up of over 1500 paper cranes, folded by our local schools and festival goers alike, each paper crane also carries a wish written inside the wing.

It is said that these small cranes then carry the wishes far enough to be heard, finding yourself in the rhythm of their flight.

Come see this incredible installation at the Cockburn Health and Community Facility in Success.

Lose your self in the joy of the Maze!

This is a great one for the kids and the kids at heart – mum and dad, you don’t want to sit this one out!

Make sure you take part in the a-mazing activity hunt across the weekend – posters of Australian native animals are hidden in the maze dead-ends and you need to find them all. Record what you find on an answer sheet (available at the entrance) and go into a draw to win a prize!

Taking place 10am to 4pm on both Saturday 30th May and Sunday 1st May, this FREE EVENT is wheelchair and pram accessible.

COVID-Safe

Please note, this is a COVID-safe activity.

Featured at the first ever Coogee Live ‘Rising Lotus’ by Tom Muller is a captivating light and sculptural art installation.

This was a crowd favourite in the inaugural Coogee Live – don’t miss your chance to revisit this ephemeral piece again!

Tom Muller discusses how Rising Lotus is about the dichotomy of East and West and how we integrate them:
“the works are also to do with the polarity of ideas, like travel and escape. All the objects take you to a place, some way or other. We look to the East for internal peace which is contrasted with the West’s ambitiousness.”

Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to revisit this iconic installation once again, overlooking the pristine Coogee coast.
