City of Cockburn Community Lantern Parade

City of Cockburn Community Lantern Parade

Get ready to experience the wonder of the City of Cockburn Community Lantern Parade!

Led by the fire provocateurs Dangerous Delights and followed by the enchanting sounds of the Taiko drums, Japanese flute and didgeridoo thanks to Taiko On, the parade is made up of students from our local schools, community members and festival goers who made a lantern at our free Make Believe Lantern Art workshop. This magical parade will start at the LiveLighter Omeo Hub, snaking it’s way across Coogee Beach and coming to a spectacular finale at the LiveLighter Community Hub.

Join us as we follow the beating light of the drums and feel that sense of magic and awe, as we carry our handmade lanterns as a symbol of resilience, strength and belief in our community, in a parade of entertainment and light.

We advise registering now to secure your spot. Attending is FREE and registrations are essential if you’d like to be involved in the parade. Hit the Booking Link below to secure your spot.

Please note we are holding some spaces for walk ups on the day (make sure you get in early).

Thank you

This lantern parade is made possible thanks to the City of Cockburn, LightnUp Inc, Hub 6163, Dangerous Delights and Taiko On
