This Waterwise Verge Garden pop-up was due to appear at Coogee Live 2022.
With the support of The Forever Project and Water Corporation, the City has adapted the offering into a week-long display outside Spearwood Library.
The City of Cockburn offers a Waterwise Verge Subsidy Program proudly co-funded by Water Corporation’s Waterwise Greening Scheme. The program forms part of the City’s ambition to be a leading waterwise community.
Join local sustainability expert Chris Ferreira to learn all about waterwise verges and how they can positively impact you home. This hands-on workshop will help you to understand the what, why and how to make your verge waterwise and wonderful.
You can also get advice on your verge and how to apply for the City’s Waterwise Verge Subsidy. The subsidy offers residents $250-$500 to improve their verges by replacing thirsty lawn with waterwise plants and water saving mulch. Not only does it look spectacular, it creates a habitat for our natives birds and animals, saves water and decrease your water bill.
